Mary "Sis" Dusseau Obituary

Mary Elizabeth “Sis” Dusseau passed away peacefully Wednesday January 24, 2018 in her home at the age of 84. She was born December 11, 1933 to Charles and Mary (Tolbert) Watson in Cullman, Alabama. They moved to Toledo when she was a teenager and she graduated from Waite High School.

Mary worked as an elevator operator at Willys - Overland Jeep and was the last elevator operator in the city at the Gardner Building. She also cleaned houses and even operated Mary’s Cone, an ice cream shop.

Mary enjoyed bowling and going to the Casino. She also was known for baking Hungarian cookies.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Norman J. Dusseau; grandson Jacob A. Rossler and thirteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Becky (Dennis) Rossler; son David (Sarah) Dusseau; granddaughters Nicole (Justin) Mullins and Fiona Dusseau; grandsons Jack and Noah Dusseau; great grandchildren Olivia and Will Mullins; brother Coleman Watson; special nephew Dan (Elaine) Blalock; special niece Pat Kohr; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Her family will be receiving friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Sunday from 3 – 8 PM where funeral prayers will be offered Monday at 9:30 AM followed by Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Mary’s family would like to give a special thank you to Kim Mullins, Shannon and Andrea as well as Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care of Mary. They also would like to acknowledge her helpful neighbors who were a great blessing to her over the years.

Memorial tributes may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the charity of the donor’s choice.
