Cynthia J. Duda passed away Sunday Sept. 9, 2018 in Ebeid Hospice Residence at the age of 65. She was born April 30, 1953 in Toledo to Billie H. & Kathleen (Kelley) Monroe. Cynthia was the widow of Thomas Duda, who preceded her in death in 1990.
She was known as the neighborhood mom to all who knew her. Cynthia was known for her generosity and caring for others. She loved nature spending time in her garden and walking through parks. Cynthia enjoyed playing solitaire, listening to Elvis and movies. She particularly liked watching the Hallmark Channel, Crime shows, the news and the Late Show with David Letterman even watching reruns online.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her father and husband and is survived by her daughters Kelly Duda, Shannon (Gerald Diehlman) Duda and son Shaun Duda; mother Kathleen Monroe; significant other Jack Barto; grandchildren Ciara Medina, Antonio Duda, Brooke Duda, Reagan Diehlman, Kaylee Duda, Shaun Duda, Jr., Howard Diehlman, Justice Duda, Alice Diehlman; great grandchildren Clover Stachowiak and Andrew Kerste; brothers Keith Monroe, Kevin (Rita) Monroe, Randy (Marilyn) Monroe and Neil (Debbie) Monroe.
Friends may call at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM with interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial tributes may be made to her family to offset expenses.
