Dewayne Gregory White

Dewayne Gregory White passed away Wednesday May 16, 2018 in St. Anne Mercy Medical Center at the age of 41. He was born March 16, 1977 in Toledo to Donald & Beverly (Harwell) White and graduated from Rogers High School in 1996.

Dewayne was a devoted and proud caregiver. He loved to travel, going to the casino and his Buick LeSabre. Dewayne enjoyed a wide variety of music from NWA to Country. He also loved to cook specifically barbecuing chicken or rib tips for his family and friends. Dewayne was an avid University of Michigan and San Francisco 49ers football fan.  He loved dogs and people “he never met a stranger”, he was known to talk to anyone.

Dewayne’s greatest joy was his family, who he loved to call and talk to.

He is preceded in death by his mother Beverly White and is survived by his son Marshawn White; daughter Celina Winfield -  White; father Donald White; sister Brittany White; best friend Aufwiedersehen Winfield; significant other Heather Castle; stepchildren Bethany, Nikole and William; special friends DeRon Sparks, Phillip Trout and Devon Peace; godmother Barb Elliott and special mother Bethann Vrooman “MaMa”; nephews Cyrano Pitts, Jr., Donovan Pitts, Christian Pitts and CaRon Pitts; niece Brianna White and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

Family will receive friends Saturday at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. after 10 AM where a Celebration of his Life will take place at 11 AM. Memorial tributes may be made to the family on this website in order to offset expenses.
