Ernestina C. Vasquez affectionately known as “Mommy” passed away Nov. 29th in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born july 12, 1952 in Brownsville, TX to Ramiro and Maria (Castro) Vasquez and grew up on the northside of Toledo and attended Sherman school and Waite High School.
Tina enjoyed going to the Farmer’s market, Walmart as well as stopping by yard sales. She was known for her gardening skills having quite the green thumb. Tina greatest joy was her family, whom she adored.
Tina is preceded in death by her husband Richard Gordon; her beloved daughter Amanda Maria Vasquez; son-in-law Randy D. Davis; and siblings Rose Vasquez, Juanita Vasquez, Carmela Salazar and Demetro Vasquez. Tina is survived by heer loving daughters Sonia J. Vasquez and Fatima J. Davis; grandchildren (who she raised as her own) Markieth Mitchell and Markwan Doublin; also her favorite granddaughter Kiara Gaines (Marcus Jr.) and her grandson who also was her care giver Johnnie Walker III; and three great grandchildren who affectionately called her “Gi Gi” ; stepson Nick Gordon; and sibilings Linda (Vincent) Thompson, Elida (Frank) Zavala, Ernesto (Linda) Vasquez, Ramiro (Phebe) Vasquez, Herman Vasquez, Alfredo Vasquez and Roger Vasquez and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
