Mr. Albert "Schoolbuddy" James of Sylvania, Ohio passed away in the comfort of his home on Sunday, June 19, 2022.  His loving wife, Germaine James, son Eric, and special companion Charlie were by his side.

Al was born in Moorhead, Mississippi on July 12, 1941.  He enjoyed playing basketball in his youth at Gentry High School in Indianola Mississippi.  Al was an amazing singer and made a career of it for many years.  He also loved going to the casino with his wife, playing cards, camping with his family, and spending time with "Papa's Boy's," Weston and Logan.

He retired as an Iron Worker for Local 55 in Toledo, Ohio.  He also enjoyed traveling to his home town, as well as going to visit his special nephew Kenny (Sonya) Williams for fish frys, in Detroit, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by both parents, brother, K.V. James,  son Curtis James, grandson Chucky and stepfather Luckey (Mr. Luck) and is survived by his loving wife Germaine James; children Cecillia, Albert,Jr., Perry, Patricia, Yalonda, Eric and Commeka; stepchildren Chris, Derrick and Kyle; many grand kids, and many siblings as well as sister in law Theola James (Sweetie).
