Ancelmo "Elmer" James Campos

Ancelmo “Elmer” James Campos unexpectedly passed away on Sunday May31, 2026 at the age of 63. He was born May 24, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio to James & Inez (Hernandez) Campos, Jr. He attended Central Catholic and Woodward High Schools.

Over the years he held many jobs. From auto body repair to print shop and bindery work. Most recently as a general laborer and handyman.

Elmer will be missed by his family and friends, especially by his grandchildren who he loved very much.

He will be remembered for his willingness to help anyone when he could, and his smile that he got from his father.

Elmer was preceded in death by his father, James G Campos Jr and brother, Andre' P Campos. He is survived by his mother, Inez Campos children, Adonis A., Athena J., Ancelmo J. III, Andre' J., Ashley I., and Alan M. Campos; brother, Alan C. & Dawn Campos; sister-in-law Kathleen Campos; 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great-nephews and 1 great-niece.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will take place at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4555 N Haven Dr, Toledo, OH, 43612 at a later date.
