Obituary

Avery Michael King was born on Friday, September 10th 2021 to Robert and Cymantha King. Avery gained his wings on Thursday, February 10th 2022.

Averys Journey. Avery was born at the Cleveland Clinic with multiple congenital heart defects. Here is where his journey would begin. He spent the first 144 days of his life in the Cleveland Clinic PICU. While there, Avery underwent several surgeries and procedures to save his life. Due to Covid precautions, only his mother and father were able to be with him. It was a long road, but eventually Avery was able to graduate from the PICU and go home with his loving family. His family would finally be able to meet him.

Despite the many challenges that Avery faced he was a fighter. Avery was an extremely happy baby who's smile could light up a room. He melted the hearts of all who were lucky enough to witness his journey.

Avery was loved by so many. People who never met him were very invested in his journey. Avery's family was extended to not only his close relatives, but to those who have been there with Cymantha and Rob through his entire journey. From pregnancy through birth, Cymantha shared her journey with everyone. People felt how she felt and could relate to her story.  Many fell in love with Avery long before he was born, so to say this is a loss to many would be an understatement.

His parents, siblings and family were blessed to spend 8 wonderful days with Avery at home before the Lord called him home.

Avery was proceeded in death by his grandfather Michael Dzenis, Great Grandparents Louis Espinoza, Connie Lance, Patricia Stewart, Fred and Anne King.

He is survived by his parents Robert and Cymantha King, Sister Hailey, Brothers Antonio, Cameron and Elijah. Grandparents Caryn and Daniel Lynch, Michael and Lisa King, Arthur and Amanda Espinosa. As well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and his God Mothers.

His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home located at 1757 Tremainsville Rd, Toledo Ohio 43613.  Thursday, February 17th 2022 after 2 PM followed by Funeral Services at 6 PM officiated by Pastor Roy.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House and to the amazing nurses, doctors, surgeons and staff at the Cleveland Clinic, your love and dedication you shared with Avery shined through every day. You all helped raise Avery the 144 days he lived in your care. Your hard work will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life dinner will be held on Sunday, February 20th 2022 at 2pm at the Friendly village clubhouse located at 27695 Tracey Road. Walbridge Ohio.

The parents are asking that everyone wear red to Avery's services in dedication to his Journey and in recognition of the fight of Congenital Heart Defects.
