Bethany A. Collier, 53 of Toledo Ohio, died on Thursday, February 15, 2024. She was born on October 16, 1970 in Toledo Ohio to the late Ronald and Jacqueline Cannon (Schneider). She was a 1989 graduate of Notre Dame Academy and a 1993 graduate of The University of Toledo.

On February 11, 1995, she married Scott Collier who survives her in death.

Bethany devoted most of her adult life to caring for children. Through her home daycare and as a foster parent and mother she loved, taught and nurtured countless children. The impact she made on the children and their families that she cared for is immeasurable.

One of her greatest joys was cooking. She loved to feed people, whether it was dinner for her family, a holiday meal for a house full of friends, or a dish for a friend in need. Her other favorite pastimes included reading, shopping, and entertaining people.

Bethany was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church since its founding, and previously attended Bethany Lutheran Church and Augsburg Lutheran Church. She was an active member of the women's group and children's ministries over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and children Julia and Ian.Bethany is survived by her husband Scott, children Grace, Wilson and Millie, and many aunts,

uncles and cousins.

Bethany played a significant role in her loved ones lives and will be greatly missed by many.

Bethany's family will receive friends Monday, February 19th from 2:00-7:00 PM at Castillo Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM, Tuesday February 20th at Faith United Lutheran Church, 4543 Douglas Rd. Toledo followed by interment at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Bethany's name to Faith United Lutheran Church.
