IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Castherine
Washington
November 27, 1959 – December 4, 2025
Catherine Washington gained her wings on December 4th, 2025, at 66 years old. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her spirit was strong, her heart was generous, and her presence brought light to every room she entered. Catherine's favorite color was green a reflection of growth, renewal, and life, just like the journey she lived. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she cherished attending NA speaker jams with her recovery family. Those moments of laughter, music, and fellowship were some of her greatest joys. She worked for many years as a caregiver, offering compassion and support to those in need. In the later years of her life, she served in a recovery center for addiction, helping others find the same hope and freedom she discovered in her own recovery. Catherine courageously battled Stage 4 gallbladder cancer and fought with strength, dignity, and faith until the very end. She is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Ward, and her father, Oliver Washington and is survived by her loving children: Ranada Washington, Michael Vaughns, and Yolanda Washington Betts Her beloved grandchildren: Jasmine, Zamari, Zayvon, Michael Jr., Makayla Renee, Jayceon, and Harley Jo; her precious great-grandchildren: Kayveon and Ja'Zaiyah She also leaves behind her dearest and most trusted friends and family of the heart, including: Best Friend – Tammy Wells,Sponsor – Lily, Special Mother – Vivian Sister – Brandi Catherine's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of every family member, friend, and life she touched especially within her NA community, where her recovery, service, and hope will forever remain an inspiration. "Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:23
Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday after 10 AM. Followed by Celebration of Life service at 11 AM.
