Charles Francis Harvath. February 3, 1956 - May 28th 2026. 70 years. Charles Francis Harvath, “Chuck” to all of his friends and family, peacefully passed away at St Vincent's Medical Center ICU after 2 suffering a stroke and a long battle of COPD and emphysema complications. Chuck was born February 3, 1956 in Canton, OH to Joseph F. and Margaret (Urban) Harvath. He was a 1974 graduate of Maumee High school and attended {Prairie State Community College in Chicago.

Chuck lived a fun fueled life after retiring early from Jeep where he spent his years as a Supervisor at North Cove plant. Following that, he purchased and took over ownership of a small bar on Sylvania Avenue named the Old House Saloon and met many friends and acquaintances there, having bands and pig roasts on many occasions. He also had many Game Machines and pay phones around the city of Toledo and was a landlord for a good portion of his life with several rented houses. He loved taking road trips both short and long in his motorhome especially to Florida where his good childhood friends live and stopping at random flea markets along the way to treasure hunt. Chuck also loved the Boating life and spent a lot of his time on Lake Erie fishing. This led to him later in life becoming the Harbor Master at the Maumee River Yacht Club. He enjoyed toasting the good times with friends and telling jokes. Chuck was always one to have a crowd listening and laughing along. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph F. Harvath and Margaret R. Harvath and ex wife Becky S Harvath and special friend Dawn Frederick. He is survived by his brother Joseph D. Harvath, son Charles R. Harvath and daughter Michelle Szozda (Matt), and grandchildren , Christopher Jones Jr. 19, Malaya Jones 18, Elijah Harvath 18, Ellyonna Jones 16, Jaiilynn Jones 14, Charli Szozda 7, and Matthew Szozda 4; nephews Kent, Andy and niece Anna in Japan.

He will be loved and missed by all and not soon forgotten in their memories of his love and kindness. His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Monday from 5 -7 PM. Private Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery Massillon, OH.
