IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher Frederick
Nemecek, Sr.
June 17, 1955 – October 31, 2025
Christopher Nemecek Sr, 06/17/1955-10/31/2025, was more than a husband, father, and friend. He was the kind of man who made everyone around him feel cared for. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith.
Chris proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and carried that patriotism with him every day of his life. He also had a career of 15 years working as a manager at Toledo Florist Exchange and later he was a railroad engineer by trade- strong, steady, and dependable- He was a man of strong values who loved his country and his family with all his heart.
But beyond his service and work, Chris had a heart that poured out love to everyone around him. He adored his wife and was completely devoted to her. Their love was something special- the kind that people admired and He would take every opportunity he had to tell "their story" to anyone who would listen. He cared for her deeply and selflessly, just as he did for everyone around him.
Chris loved life and the joys that came with it, He loved sports - especially football - and rarely missed a good game. He enjoyed playing a round of golf on any sunny day and was always willing to catch a good horse race. Chris had a great sense of humor and a creative soul, he wrote and sang songs, and his joy for music filled many gatherings with laughter and warmth. However, it was most likely you would catch him in the kitchen cooking as he was an incredible cook, especially when it came to his Czech dishes - Chicken Paprikas, dumplings, and his famous homemade chicken noodle soup. Whenever someone was sick, he would show up at their door with a big bowl of what he called "magic soup." That was just who he was , always giving, always caring, always showing love through action.
Above all, Chris loved Jesus and wanted others to know Him too. He encouraged everyone to be their best, to love deeply, and to live with purpose. He gave his heart freely and made everyone feel like family.
Chris is survived by his wife Michelle Nemecek; son Michael (Coral) Nemecek, daughters Jessica Nemecek and Danielle (Sherron) Linear; grandchildren Devyn Nemecek, Heaven Nemecek, Riannea (Tyler) Kratzman, Christopher Nemecek III; Cali Childress ; great granddaughter Ruby Michelle Kratzman; mother Ruthie Nemecek, Godmother Joanie Palombi; brothers Marty (Patty) Nemecek, Joe Nemecek, sister Michelle (Robbie) LaPlante and sister-in-law Mary Nemecek and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son Christopher Nemecek Jr, father Wenceslas "Veno" Nemecek, brother Steve Nemecek and sister-in-law Lori Nemecek.
He will be remembered for his laughter, his strength, and his devotion to family. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his love will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
-John 11:25
