Clarence V. "Sonny" Meeks, Jr., of Swanton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the age of 83. Sonny was born in Toledo on January 6, 1936 to Clarence "Red" and Gladys (Haas) Meeks and graduated from Waite High School. After high school he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife Joy "The Love of His Life" of 56 years, infant son Hank and his parents. Sonny is survived by daughter Cheryl (Chris) Hooten, son Steve (Kenya) Meeks, daughter Trudy (Jack) Donnelly, four grandchildren and sister Clara (Ed) Sneed. Sonny was a retired truck driver. He loved racing, camping, bowling and playing the slots. All who knew him loved him.

The family would like to thank the neighbors and Swanton Rescue for their extraordinary efforts.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday from 2 - 8 PM where funeral services will be held Thursday, January 24 at 10 AM followed by interment at East Swanton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cherry St Mission.
