Connie Lynn Rivas passed away on October 27, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center, at the age of 65. She was born in Toledo on March 2, 1961, to Wayne and Geraldine (Bails) Hyslop.

Connie was married to Gustavo Rivas, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2022. Connie was always making jokes and was loved by many. She cherished spending time with her family and had a tremendous love for her dogs and cats, especially Chihuahuas. Connie had a sweet tooth especially chocolates, potato chips and a Pepsi, She was known to sweeten up her grandkids. Connie also loved cheering on the Miami Dolphins and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Connie was also preceded in death by her siblings Kenny, Debbie, Gary, and Tracy.

She is survived by her children Rosita, Rebecca, Renee, Gustavo and his wife, Ashley, and Anita; her siblings Wayne and his wife, Cookie, Cindy, Douglas, and Kevin and his wife, Mary; 14 grandkids; and two great-grandkids.

Connie’s family will receive friends at Castillo Funeral Home on Friday after 3:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial tributes may be made to her family through this website or at the funeral home to help offset expenses.
