Obituary

Corinne Lee Oliger, went home to be with Jesus while in the arms of her loving husband on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with many health issues. She was born to amazing parents, Bob & Helen Brown on June 29, 1943, and they preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Fred; children Janelle Myers, Kendra (Kevin) Grubinski, & Brad Oliger; grandchildren Lauren & Allie Myers, Julia (Eric) Momenee, Emma, Joey (Brie), & Scarlett Grubinski, Sadie, Ethan (Samantha), Brody, & Triton Oliger; great-grandchildren Roman & Marcus Oliger; sister Louanne (Dave) Saylors; brother in law Steve Collins as well as many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister in law Carolee Collins.

She adored her family and especially each grandchild in their various interests and endeavors. She was a proud Panther of Whitmer High School (class of '61), and enjoyed a long career teaching in Washington Local Schools. She also taught many special kids over the years, always went above and beyond and maintained relationships with their families until her passing. She was active in the band from grade school through high school and donated her time playing piano at church each week until her health no longer allowed.

Her faith and church were very important to her. As an active member of Faith United (formerly known as Reformation Lutheran Church), she spent many years swinging bells and playing piano, making lifelong friends, & contributing to the many programs there.

She also gave many years and her heart to volunteering at the Flower Hospital Gift Shop and the Toledo Museum of Art Family Center.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. in Toledo, Ohio on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 3 – 7 PM. A Celebration of Corinnes's Life will be held at Faith United Lutheran Church 4535 Douglas Rd. Toledo on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11 am with Pastor Tom Schaeffer officiating. Memorial donations can be made to "Friends of Music" at Faith United.
