Dennis M. Meyer, Sr., Age 81, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, Oct 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his children. He was born in Toledo on September 12, 1942 to Walter and Sylvia (Johnson) Meyer.

Dennis attended St. Catherine Elementary and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961 before proudly serving as military police in the Army National Guard for 6 ½ years. On June 26, 1965, Dennis married the love of his life, Luanne (Schmitz) Meyer. Together they had four children.

Dennis was employed for 20 years at the Dana Spicer Transmission Plant and then for 18 years by MCO as a painter before retiring in 2006.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Luanne, his parents, and brothers Barton, Walt, Theodore, and Thomas. Dennis is survived by his children, Mike (Karen) Meyer, Christine (Robert) Boggs, John Meyer, and Theresa (Seth) Evearitt, grandchildren, Ethan, Aiden, Drew, and Alea, and his special dog companion, Buddy.

Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2023 at the back of Little Flower Catholic Church 5522 Dorr St. before a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
