IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane Marie
(Morris) Garbers
June 5, 1949 – December 22, 2022
With great sorrow, the family of beloved Diane M. Garbers (Morris) regretfully reports that Diane passed away peacefully in her home in Toledo, OH, on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
Born to Marjorie and Hershal Morris, June 5, 1949, Diane Marie Morris is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Diedrich Garbers, her caring granddaughter Victoria Skorich, her two sons Jacob and Andrew, her sisters Sharon and Joann, brother Randy, over a dozen nieces and nephews, and their dog Bootsie.
She is preceded in death and guided home by her parents, her granddaughter Cassie, and her cherished dog, Butter.
Living to 73 years old, Diane fearlessly fought life's twists and turns with grace and an abundance of love. As a fighter, Diane overcame a lot; she battled numerous medical challenges, multiple sclerosis, survived cancer and a heart attack. All who knew her know how strong she was and how deeply she cared for those around her.
As a student, Diane graduated in the first full class at Roy C. Start High School in Toledo 1967. Diane grew into a lifelong activist and advocate, who fiercely defended and supported her granddaughter's activism decades later.
The family would like to invite you to celebrate Diane's life in a service at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Friday December 30, after 1pm followed a memorial service at 4pm. Memorial tributes may be made to her family via this website to help offset expenses.
