Dolores E. Powell passed away Monday April 18, 2016 in Hickory Ridge Nursing Home at the age of 81. She was born in Toledo to Alfred & Dolores (Johnston) Wassinger. Dolores graduated in 1951 from Central Catholic High School and then received her associate degree from Davis Business College. She married Robert F. Powell in 1953, who preceded her in death in 1995. Dolores was a legal secretary for various firms retiring from Owens Corning.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking and playing bridge with her friends. Upon retirement, Dolores developed a love for painting.

She is survived by her daughter Cherie (Mike) Packard; son Terry (Laurie) Powell; grandchildren Amy (Jim) Pudlowski, Kim (Matt) Borer, Nathan Powell and Austin (Kari) Powell; great grandchildren Dalan, Bailey, Emma, Camryn, Payton and Sydney; and sister-in-law Phyllis Powell.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Thursday from 4-8 PM where a Celebration of her Life will be held Friday at 10 AM followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
