IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eddie Lee
Cline, Sr.
July 19, 1957 – June 15, 2025
Eddie Lee Cline Sr., aged 67, passed away peacefully at his home in Toledo, Ohio on June 15, 2025. Born on July 19, 1957, Eddie was known for his boundless energy and generous spirit, making him a local hero in the hearts of many. Eddie attended Canton Mickinley High School and soon after joined the Marine Corps, where he served with distinction. His military experience instilled in him a discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. After his service, Eddie dedicated 20 years working as a truck mechanic and as a truck driver, careers that echoed his love for engines and the open road. Beyond his professional life, Eddie was a true enthusiast of motorcycles, a passion he shared with his son, Eddie Jr. His love for anything with an engine was paralleled only by his devotion to the Dallas Cowboys, sharing many games with his daughter Candy. An accomplished bowler and an exceptional cook, Eddie was particularly skilled with the grill. His grandchildren were the joys of his life, and he cherished teaching his daughter Starla and them the finer points of winning at the Fulton County Fair games. Eddie was a superhero in his community, always ready to lend a hand, offer a ride, or just provide a listening ear over a cup of coffee. His home was a welcome refuge to many, reflecting his open heart and spirit. He leaves behind his children, Candy Cline, Eddie Jr. (Rachel) Cline, and Starla Cline; grandchildren Trenton Wulf, Lylana Cowell, and Emanuel Williams; and siblings Brenda (Tom) Johnson and Jessie (Sandy) Cline. He also held a special place in his heart for his friends Kathy (Norb) Bettinger and Dianne Cowell. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Sr. and Stella Cline, and siblings Bobbie Jr. (Kim) Cline, Lana (Mel) Gopp, and Annabelle Cline. Eddie's life was marked by his unwavering kindness and adventurous spirit, leaving a legacy of love and memorable stories that will forever resonate with those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to have him in their lives.
His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday after 3 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 PM and U.S. Marine Corps Honors. Memorial tributes may be made to his family via this website to help offset expenses.
