Erik Jefferie Dean passed away April 7, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice Residence surrounded by friends and family at the age of 46.  He was born October 17, 1970 in Dallas, TX to James and Barbara (Ellison) Dean. Erik grew up in Nashville, TN and graduated from the University of Tennessee receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Turf Management. After graduating, he worked at numerous country clubs where he was the superintendent of their golf courses. Most recently he worked at Courtsmith where he installed and maintained tennis courts.

Erik loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer, snowboarder and racquetball player. He enjoyed sports particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies.

His biggest joys in life were his children Morgan and Cora and his step-children Logan and Madalyn.  Erik was always the life of the party and was known to make everyone laugh.

His parents preceded him in death and he is survived by his fiance Melissa Haupricht; children and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

His family will receive friends at Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Friday April 14th from  4 – 8 PM where a Celebration of His Life will be held Saturday at 11 AM.  Memorial tributes may be made to his family at the funeral home.
