Gerald (Jerry) Brown passed away on August 2, 2022 surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 5, 1935 to Donald and Mildred (Robedeau) Brown and graduated from Central Catholic High school in 1954.

Jerry joined the military serving in both the U.S. Army and the National Guard of Ohio. After being honorably discharged, he earned his accounting degree from the University Of Toledo.

Jerry first worked at Independent Bookkeeping before becoming self-employed as Gerald Brown Accounting, and retired after the 2021 tax season.

He met Esther Coehrs in 1956 and they were married September 13, 1958. They had 4 daughters.

Jerry was very involved in Regina Coeli Church, acting as treasurer for many of the parish groups, including the Holy Name Society, the Ushers, the Dartball League and the Golf League. He also volunteered at the festival for years as a finance worker and washed dishes after the chicken dinner.

Jerry was preceded in death by Esther, his wife of 62 years, his daughter Madelyn Shake, his parents, his brothers; Richard (Florence) and James, and his sister Joyce Thomas.

He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Heer, Marcia Brown, and Mary (Kenny) Tillman; his grandsons Tim Heer and Noah Tillman, his sons-in-law Kenny and Chuck, his brother Ken (Cindy), sister-in-law Pat, and brother-in-law Fred.

His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home, 1757 Tremainsville Rd., from  3– 8 p.m. on Monday, August 8th, where Military Funeral Honors and a Rosary service will be held at 6:30 PM.

The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday August 9th, at Regina Coeli Catholic Church 530 Regina Pkwy Toledo, OH 43612.
