First Breath: August 17th, 1973

Last Breath: October 29th, 2024

Geri Lynn Nation was born to Jerry and Clarisse Nation on August 17th,1973 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lynn grew up on 21st and Keefe. Her upbringing was shaped in Christ, attending Providence Baptist Church. She received her formal education in Milwaukee Public Schools, where she graduated from Washington High School in 1992. Followed by attendance at Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Lynn became a mother to three beautiful daughters: Jaleigha, Lornicha, and Le'Asha and a grandmother to four grandchildren who affectionately called her "YaYa." In 2001, Lynn started Ryan & Son Inc. In 2010 Lynn traveled with her job from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Toledo, Ohio. This move, along with her honesty, trustworthiness, and knowledge placed Lynn in a position to maintain leadership roles throughout her career.

In her spare time Lynn enjoyed her smoke, basketball, reading, gambling and traveling. One of Lynn's most admirable qualities was her loyalty. Her long lasting friendships are evidence of this. In addition to being loyal, she was extremely funny and known for her brutal, yet caring honesty. If you reached out, she was there for you.

Lynn will be missed by all who knew her.  She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Nation, Grandmothers, Darlee Yancey, Nellie Nation, Grandfather Leroy Nation, sister Lashawn Pearson, Uncle Leroy Nation Jr, Favorite Uncle, Kenneth "Kenny" Yancey, and Favorite cousin Jevon Nation. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Clarisse Nation, her daughters Jaleigha Nation, Lornicha Edwards, and Le'Asha Edwards, sisters Tiffany Nation, Yolanda Nation, Lakeshia Nation, and Special brother Claude Gillard. As well as her nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
