(Sheridan) Maher
August 5, 1957 – April 25, 2021
Glenda Susan Maher passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family & friends on Sunday April 25, 2021 at the age of 63. She was born August 5, 1957 in Findlay, OH to Glen & Marjorie (Hart) Sheridan. Glenda graduated from Findlay High School where she excelled as a rifle sharp shooter. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Bowling Green State University.
In 1976, she met John Maher and were married in 1978. Glenda was a devout Catholic at the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was an Eucharistic Minister, Lector and liked counting the collections as well as going to breakfast with her church friends.
Glenda enjoyed canning, needlepoint, reading and stock trading on E-Trade. Most of all she loved spending time with her family especially at their summer cottage.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Jeff Sheridan; father & mother –in-law Phillip and Carol Maher; and four miscarriages.
Glenda is survived by her husband John Maher; children Melanie (Jason) McCloskey and Anthony (Elyse) Maher; grandchildren Madilyn, Weston, Braelyn Maher and Tyler McCloskey; brother Marcus Sheridan; nephew Michael (Derek) Sheridan; In-Laws Bob & Colleen Maher, Ron & Tracy Maher, Suzanne Maher, Cynthia & Mike Hallett, Sharon & Mike Jones and Phillip Maher as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may gather for a limited visitation (masks must be worn, 30 guests in the funeral home at a time, and social distancing will be observed inside facilities; please limit visiting to 10 min. or less so others may come in to pay their respects) at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday after 3 PM followed by a Scripture service at 7:30 PM and Thursday at The Most Blessed Sacrament Church after 10 AM followed by Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
