Harold Dean Cowden Jr. "Dean" of Northwood, Ohio passed away on March 14 in his home surrounded by his family after a year and a half long battle with cancer at the age of 61.

He was born in Toledo on Sept. 26th 1961 to Dorothy (Burchell) and Harold Cowden, Sr. and was a 1981 graduate of Swanton High School. Dean loved being outside in the woods , whether it was in Upper Michigan or Hocking Hills.

He was preceded in by his parents Harold  Sr.a nd  Dorothy Cowden and brothers Tobie and John Gill

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 12 yrs Denise Cowden, Brother Rick( Krystal) Gill, sisters Theresa Westphal ( Lamar) Kathie (Gary) Waterstradt, and Gena ( Steve) Hoeft   His stepson Jeremy (Melanie) Mc Bride. And most especially he loved being grandpa to Maverick, Ryker, Dane, Candice and Jenise

His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Sunday after 2 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 5 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to his family via this website to help offset expenses.
