James Lee Bahnsen passed away Friday August 11, 2017 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center at the age of 69.  He was born February 7, 1948  to parents Willis and Betty Jane Bahnsen in Port Clinton. James graduated from The University of Toledo in 1970 with a degree in Political Science and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. He worked for Libbey Owens Ford, BASF Inmont and Daimler Chrysler Perrysburg.

James is survived by his wife, Carol and sons Jamie and Jason of Toledo, OH,; brother Willis M. Jr. (Catherine) Bahnsen of Indiana, and nephew Matthew. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Final arrangements will be private. James was a living related transplant donor and with his passing continued to give as a community tissue services donor. Memorial donations may be given to Life Connection of Ohio.
