James William Draper, age 69 passed away on July 12, 2021.  He was born on March 18, 1952 to Annabelle Draper and James W. Draper.    Jim was affectionately nick-named "Doc" after he bandaged up a childhood friend after a bicycle accident.   The name stuck throughout his life and his kind-heartedness only grew with time.

Jim was known to all as a humble and loyal friend with a huge heart.  To his nieces and family, he was known as big teddy bear.  He could also dole out his share of sarcasm and wit with a huge grin.  He was loved by all who met him.  Jim loved watching movies, listening to classic rock and playing pool with his friends.

Jim is survived by his grandson, Brandon West, his niece Amber Billmaier, and his best friend Denny Denman.  Jim became a beloved father figure to Melissa McJilton, who also survives him.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday after 3:30 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4:30 PM.
