Janis Turner passed away on October 23rd at Flower Hospital.  Janis graduated from Woodward High School in 1966 and she proudly built Jeeps at the Willys Overland Plant for 30 years, retiring in 2007.  She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and loyal Cleveland Browns fan. She is survived by her former husband and loving friend, James Turner, daughter, Carry Arnold, and sons, Richard (Kelly) Turner, Christopher (Jenifer) Turner. Brother Richard Wozniak and sister Dollie (Frank) Czekaj.    She had the most beautiful grandchildren, Ricky Turner, Lauren Arnold and Breanna Turner.
Janis was born to Dorothy Haines and Danny Kania on July 7th, 1948.  She was raised and loved by her maternal grandparents Stella and Leo Wozniak, who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by siblings, Ruth (Chuck) Wielinski, John (Beverly) Wozniak, Paula (Tony) Lisiakowski, David Wozniak and sister-in-law Pat Wozniak. In better, happier times, Janis enjoyed holidays and family gatherings where she was always the life of the party.   Looking through photos we were reminded of the beautiful, warm, fun person she was.

She has been missed for many years, may she now truly be at peace.

Family will receive friends Sunday after 4 PM followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony at 7:30 PM. in the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Memorial tributes may be to the Toledo Humane Society.
