Jerri Amber Woods 45 passed away February 28, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center after a 55-day battle with pneumonia, surrounded by her children and loved ones.

The youngest of 6 children, she shared a close bond with each sibling through different seasons of life.  She loved them all very much.

She passed the G.E. D. at the age of 15 and enrolled at Owens Community College the next year.  Currently she was enrolled online at Strayer University where she received Merrit on the dean's list every semester.

Jerri was outgoing and had a contagious laugh.  In her free time, she loved to get cozy with a good book.  She enjoyed True Crime TV and word games.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother to her 4 children: Gordon, Dontae, Antonio, and Aniya and grandsons Dontae and Montae.

She cherished and loved her children and grandsons dearly and was very proud of them and their accomplishments.

She will be remembered as a hero for she gave selflessly of herself as an organ donor in honor of her late brother Flyod "Porky" Woods.

Jerri is survived by sons, Gordon Hull and Antonio Woods; daughter Aniya Woods; grandsons Dontae Wells and Montae Hull. 4 sisters; Teressa, Tina, Tammy and Tabatha as well as numerous nieces and nephews

She is proceeded in death by her son Dontae Hull; mother and stepfather Patricia and Richard Lajiness; father Jerald Woods and brother Flyod Woods.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainville Rd. Thursday March 19th after 4 PM followed by Memorial Services at 6 PM.  Memorial tributes may be made to her family via this website to help offset expenses.
