Obituary

Jerry Prochazka, a devoted father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and an inspiring role model, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023, at the age of 89. He was born in June of 1933, in the Czech Republic to a family of strong and hardworking individuals. Jerry's life was a testament to his courage and determination. As a young man, he escaped from behind the Iron Curtain, demonstrating incredible bravery and resilience in the face of adversity. It was in Germany that Jerry met the love of his life, Elizabeth. The two shared an instant connection, and their love only grew stronger as they embarked on a new life together in the United States. They were married on January 31, 1959, and spent many cherished years by each other's side. Jerry's spirit of adventure and determination to create a better life for his family carried through his time in the United States. He was a dedicated provider, always ensuring that his family's needs were met and that his children, Anna and Jerry, had every opportunity for success. He was a man of great integrity, earning the respect and admiration of those who knew him. Jerry's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Jerry is now reunited with his beloved wife, Elizabeth, in heaven. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Anna (Christopher) and Jerry (Jordan), his cherished grandchildren Cameron (Victoriana), Amber (Brandon), Justin (Layna) and Tiffaney. His adoring great-grandchildren Eden, Emrey and Kimber. Jerry's spirit will live on through their memories and the lessons he taught them about love, perseverance, and the importance of family. A private family service will be held in honor of Jerry. In place of flowers, the family would like to ask that donations be made in Jerry's name to a charity of your choice. As we gather to celebrate and remember Jerry's life, let us be grateful for the time we had with him and the many ways he touched our hearts.
