Jerry Donald Smotherman

Mr. Jerry Donald Smotherman was born Oct 31st, 1948, to the union of Fred & Dorothy (Eaglin) Smotherman. Mr. Smotherman passed away in his home April 15th, 2026 at the age of 77 years old.

Jerry graduated Whitmer High School. Mr. Smotherman retired from Dupont/Perstorp after 3 decades of service.

Jerry Smotherman was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Jerry Smotherman leaves behind his daughter Lori (Smotherman) Coleman, son, Jerry D Smotherman II, sister, Jan (Phil) Wetherald, brothers, Rusty (Beth) Smotherman and Bill (Linda) Smotherman. Grandchildren, Charles Derr, Tara (Derr) Lemas, Daniel (Heather) Derr, Jerry Smotherman III, Joseph Smotherman, and Hailey Smotherman. Great grandkids, Lenny and Lilly Lemas, Princeton-Havoc, Ryker, Harper Reign, Skylee & Mackenzie Derr, Step-son Frank (Kim) Deal and step daughter Christina Crossett, along with many many nieces and nephews.

Jerry will be missed by his whole family and great friends at Daffy’s.

Viewing will be at Castillo’s Funeral, 1757 Tremainsville Rd, Monday April 27th 6pm.
