Joan "Joanie" Harrison passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday July 8th, 2025.   She was born September 11th, 1958 to Rita A. Avalos (McNalley) and Stanley J. Avalos in the middle of the Avalos army. She was a second mom to many of her nieces, nephews and younger sisters. Mustof helped her to be the amazing mom and Grammy she was in the future.

She loved to travel in her younger years and shared many great memories with her children and grandchildren.

Joan was beautiful and peaceful person who loved her family. She is greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter Naomi Harrison, son Brian Harrison, grandchildren Damein, Kymora, Dominique(bubba), significant other Dale Smithers, and many siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents and multiple siblings.

Her family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
