Jodi Lynn Thompson passed away unexpectedly January 1, 2017 in her home at the age of 41. She was born September 9, 1975 in Sylvania to Vickie Steiner and Alexander Wilhelmi.

Jodi had a passionate love for animals which led her to a 15 yr. career at the Lucas County Canine Care and Control. She was a hard worker always finding a way to make it work no matter what it took. Jodi had many friends who she loved and they could always rely on her whether to keep a secret or just be there for them. She enjoyed caring for her inside plants and gardening her beautiful sunflowers.

Jodi liked being different some of her favorite things were mermaids, sugar skulls, tattoos, Marilyn Monroe and Halloween. She was always the life of the party where she could share her funny stories with such enthusiasm.

Jodi is preceded in death by her grandma & grandpa Wilhelmi and very special grandpa Glenn. She is survived by her daughters Chalei Thompson and Chazmin Duff; mother Vickie (Jeff) Steiner; father Alexander B. Wilhelmi; special friend Darnae Thompson, sisters Tricia St. Meyers (Mike Jimenaz), Stacey Steiner and Amy Fritz; brothers Nick Steiner and Brett Steiner; uncles Tom (Diane) Alliman, David Glenn and Paul Wilhelmi; aunt Linda Wilhelmi; nephew Drake St. Meyers; nieces Aliyah Mayes, Brooklyn Fritz, Melody Fritz and Sage Steiner; special grandma Glenn and 19 cousins.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Sunday from 3 - 8 PM where a Celebration of Her Life will be held Monday at 10 AM followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial tributes may be made to Cuties Friend at the Lucas County Canine Care and Control.
