John Anthony Cumpian passed away peacefully Thursday June 21, 2018 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio – Toledo at the age of 63. He was born September 30, 1954 in Toledo to Juan "Raymond" and Bennita (Aguilar) Cumpian and he graduated from Woodward High School.

John worked in the automotive industry whether it was a mechanic or an assembler at Chrysler which may explain his love of drag racing. He also enjoyed shooting pool with friends, but most of all he enjoyed grilling with a cold beer and hanging with his family and close friends.

John is preceded in death by his father Juan "Raymond" Cumpian; grandson Michael Lee Woodward and brother Jesse Cumpian. He is survived by his wife and longtime companion Wanda Cumpian; mother Bennita Cumpian; daughters Tammie (Lee) Woodward, Renee (Jason) May and Eva (Ronnie) Cumpian; grandchildren Chelsie, Miranda (Matthew), Kaleb, Anakin, Haley, Leila, Titus, Emmanuel, Danielle and Samantha; sister Angie Cumpian; brothers James (Linda) Cumpian and Jose (Paula) Cumpian and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 4 – 8 PM at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM. His family prefers memorial tributes be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
