On Friday, January 29th, 2021, John R. Hessey, Sr. amazing husband, father and paw paw passed away at the age of 60. He was born August 15, 1960 in Toledo to John and Carolyn (Maute) Hessey and graduated from Woodward High School in 1978. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant after serving 4 yrs.

John was a simple hard working man who understood the value of hardwork and letting loose. Back in the day, John enjoyed riding his Harley - Davidson Fat Boy. He loved playing his guitars and rocking out. He worshipped Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin.

John loved spending time with his family and cherished the moments with his grandchildren. He is preceded by his mother Carolyn Mauthe; sister Tina Clark; grandparents Richard & Hazel Mauthe; brothers Larry Lindner and Doug Laney as well as best bud P.T..

John is survived by his loving wife of 37 yrs. Stacey; children Danielle, John Jr. (Crystal) and Joe; mother-in-law Shirley; brother Randy Allen; brothers-in-law Bob (Sandy) Lindner, Greg (Jennifer) Lindner; sisters-in-law Cathy Mason and Lee Nicklin Cedoz; grandchildren Braydon, Brooklynn, Bentley, Adalynn, Haydin, Gavin and Bryson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family are welcome for limited visitation (masks must be worn, 30 guests in the funeral home at a time, and social distancing will be observed inside facilities; please limit visiting to 10 min. or less so others may come in to pay their respects) at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Thursday after 3 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6 PM with Air Force Funeral Honors.
