On November 9, 2021, Julia (Alvarado) Rodriguez, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven. While she will be greatly missed, our hearts are comforted as she left this world in peace with her loved ones at her bedside.

Julia was born in Maxwell County, Texas on January 9, 1933, to her parents Augustina (Hernandez) and Dionesio Alvarado. She married, had children with and was sadly widowed in 1973 from her love, Frank Rodriguez, Sr.

While Julia worked at both Mercy and Toledo Hospitals until her retirement in 1996, her main focuses in life were to be a devoted homemaker and woman of God. To Julia, her family was everything. She treasured her time caring for and being with her family. She truly embraced every moment. A devout Catholic, Julia was a faithful member of Rosary Cathedral and cherished receiving communion every Sunday and praying the Rosary with her sons.

Julia will be lovingly remembered by her sons: David, Ronald, Donald, and Gerard; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and 10 great, great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Alvarado, and many nieces and nephews.

Julia rejoices as she joins her loved ones who have preceded her in death - her husband, Frank, Sr.; her children, Frank Xavier Jr., Charles Mickey, Rita Marie and Mark; and brothers, Charles Sr., Simon and John.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Tuesday after 4 PM followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM where funeral prayers will be offered Wednesday at 11:30 AM followed Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Cathedral at 12 Noon with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
