Julio Santillan Sr. passed away on September 30, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 65.

He was born July 30, 1959 in Monterey Nuevo Leon Mexico to Geronimo Adolfo Santillan and Manuela Coronado. Julio moved to the area and married Cecilia Ann Villegas here in Adrian Michigan in 1984.

Julio Santillan, Sr. loved to make people laugh alot at any party with friends on Christmas, Thanksgiving etc… He always like to have good conversations, loved Lucha Libre so much that he would collect toys, mascaras and face mask of Lucha Libre.  He love play loteria (Mexican bingo) or any games, but his favorite was playing dice (los dados).

He also enjoyed eating his favorite foods being ribs, enchiladas, rojas and his favorite quesadillas that he will call (tacos de queso).  Julio also loved his kitty and two dogs.

Julio is preceded in death by his parents; Geronimo Adolfo Santillan and Manuela Coronado and is survived by his  children; Veronica, Julio Jr., and Ismael, Grandkids; Julissa, Jitzel, Daniela, Alvavo, Jazmire and Juanito;  siblings Lydia Adolfo, Nicolas, Ricardo, Julio & Ana Maria Santillan; 11 Nieces and Nephews,.

Julio lived his life always the way he want it.  He had a different and unique way to express someone he loved.  Always a very hard worker no matter if he was sick or what, he will always work hard.

His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainville Rd. Thursday from 4-7 PM and Friday after 10 AM at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 738 St. Clair St. where Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cenetery.
