Karen S. She passed away on October 9, 2024 3 days before her 61st Wedding Anniversary to loving husband Dennis Kennedy. Karen was born April 16, 1943 in Toledo to Marvin L. & Betty (Cupp) Norwine and graduated in the 1st class at Northview High School in 1961. After high school, she went to dental school while working at Columbia Gas Co. She then went on to work for orthodontist Dr. Henry Cossett for 6 years and later worked for ophthalmologist Dr. Richard Koop for 18 years, and for Helping Hands from 1985-1990.
In 1963, Karen married her high school sweetheart, Dennis L. Kennedy at Olivet Lutheran Church. Her and Dennis were avid sailing members of North Cape Yacht Club 16 Years in LaSalle MI (1972-1988).
A beautiful person she was a joy to be around, always upbeat, looking for the best in everyone, never unpleasant to anyone ever! Karen was a fantastic wife & mother and would place family and friends above all else. She was the sunshine ever present in her family's lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin L. & Betty (Cupp) Norwine and twin sister & best friend Sharen L (Norwine) Otey of Oregon, Ohio.
She is survived by her loving husband Dennis L. Kennedy, daughters; Denise Lynn (Terence) Walsh of Littleton, CO and Deborah S. Kennedy of Toledo and granddaughter Nicole Lynn Walsh of Lakewood, CO.
" I was so lucky to share 61 years with her. High School Sweethearts Always & Forever"- . Dennis Kennedy
