Kathy (Hammons) Shook was born in Lake City Tennessee on June 23, 1942. She passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center on April 1, 2026.

She worked as a lunch lady at Sherman School in Toledo and as a team truck driver (over the road). She enjoyed bingo, camping and the Casino.

She is preceded in in death by: Bertha (mother), Oscar (father), Ben (step-father), Renee (daughter), Glenn (Husband), Naomi, Annie (sisters) and Carl, Arthur, Leonard (Brothers)

She is survived by her children Jimmy, Benny, Regina (Dave), Connie (Tim), Dominic (Ellie) and their father John. Grandkids Renee (Country), Tonya (John), Benny (Sarah), Jennifer (Jacob), Gary, Johnny, Joey, Todd (Leah), and Tim Jr., 28 great grandkids, 4 great great grandkids; siblings Dot, Dean, Frank (Melissa), and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at The Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Road, Thursday April 16th after 2:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00pm.
