Kenneth Montri was born June 17th, 1961, in Toledo, to Robert Montri and Bernadette (Montri) McNary. He passed away May 22nd, 2026, surrounded by his family at Hospice of orthwest Ohio, leaving behind a life full of crazy stories, laughter, mistakes, and unforgettable moments.
He attended and graduated from Whitmer High School. He was a widower who lost his wife, Cindy, to breast cancer last year. A loss that he grieved every day. He was a field inspector by trade but somehow always had a “deal” going, whether it was genius or questionable depending on who you asked. Kenneth was known for his inappropriate sense of humor, goofy personality, and the ability to make you laugh and shake your head at even the worst moments. He had the ability to talk his way into, and more often out of, about anything. He lived life on his own terms. He left an impression on everyone he met along with stories for years to come.
Ken is survived by his daughters; Sarah (Brian) Montri, Kylie (Miah) Montri, stepchildren; Lindsey (Jordan) Larsh and Jason (Eryn) Cessna, grandchildren; Andrya, Austin, Patrick, Rylei, Payton, Scotti, Nicholas, and Nolan, his Father; Robert Montri, sisters; Karen (Lynn) Evearitt, Diane (Jeremy) Foley, Kathy (Joseph) Burnett, stepsiblings, and many nieces and nephews, all of who carry forward the memories, lessons, and chaos that came with loving him.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Cindy (Cessna) Montri, Mother; Bernadette (Montri) McNary, brothers; Ronald Montri and David Montri, mother-in-law; Vivian Richmond, and father-in-law; John Richmond.
His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday June 20th after 12 Noon followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2 PM.
Rather than flowers, the family would be grateful for any donations to help offset the funeral expenses. Your compassion and generosity will never be forgotten.
