Lamar Sylvia DeLuna (Castro) age 70, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022. She was born on December 25, 1951 to Benito, Sr. and Victoria (Garibay) Castro. Sylvia loved dancing, Bingo and hanging at McDonalds talking and laughing with friends and her sister Lupe. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas, Garfield Elementary, and Waite High School. In addition to being a barmaid she retired from Medical College of Ohio (UTMC).She was preceded in death by both parents and her granddaughter Delicia Johnson and nephew Christopher Valle.  Surviving are her 2 children Kristine DeLuna and Richard(Patricia) DeLuna Jr.; siblings Mario(Alice) Castro, Mary Valle, Lupe Nino and Benito(Tencha) Castro Jr.; ex-husband and father of her children, who remained her good friend, Richard DeLuna, Sr.; grandchildren Troy, Pavi Elle, Ariana, Toni, Miranda. Great-grandchildren Toriyana, Jayciana, Jayceon, Celo, McKenzi, Sophia, Elysse, Channing, Cali, McKale, Toriyone, Cataleya, Xavier, Yasmin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Anyone that knew her, knows that her grandchildren were her life.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Tuesday after 4 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7 PM.
