Lance Blaine Demeritt died Thursday, September 21, 2017 in his home in Wauseon at the age of 47 after a short illness. He was born August 24, 1970 in Coldwater, MI to Jerry and Mari (Abbott) Demeritt. Lance graduated from Quincy High School in 1988 where he played drums in the marching band and was asked to play drums for the Future Farmers of America in Kansas.

Lance was a truck driver and dispatcher for Johnson Trucking in Delta, OH for the past 19 yrs. He was known for his sense of humor and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He married Jennifer Keefe on August 28, 2004 and was blessed with his greatest pride and joy, his daughter Keilee Jo.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents Harry & Buehla Demeritt, Glenwood Abbott and Evelyn Gillett; cousins Chris Faye and Rowland Brewer as well as numerous aunts & uncles.

Lance is survived by his daughter Keilee Jo Demeritt; wife Jennifer; mother Mari  Abbott Demeritt of Coldwater, MI; brother Donnie Hills of Hesperia, MI

Family will be receiving friends Sunday after 6 PM at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo followed by a Celebration of Lance's Life at 8 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to his family at the funeral home.
