Laurie Ann Stratton died Saturday January 7, 2017 in University of Toledo Medical Center at the age of 58. She was born December 29, 1958 in Toledo to Paul and Mary Lynn (Kledzik) Utz. Laurie graduated from Maumee High School in 1977 and attended the University of Toledo. She worked in the mental health field at Zepf Center and Rescue Crisis Center.

Laurie enjoyed going to Northpoint Church. She loved animals. Her love of family and friends was exemplified by her always putting others first before her. In recent years, she helped her son raise her two beautiful grandchildren.

Laurie is preceded death by her parents and her husbands Keith Tavernier and Lee Stratton. She is survived by her son Jonathan Tavernier; grandchildren Eleasah Reyes and Hunter Tavernier; brothers Tim Utz (Caroline Rood), Mike (Teresa) Utz, Jeff (Teri) Utz and Christopher (Irma) Utz; and her feline friend Angel; as well as numerous family and friends.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday January 28, 2017 at 11 AM in Northpoint Church 3708 Laskey Rd. at the corner of Harvest Lane. Her family prefers memorial tributes be made to the church
