Marcia Lena Harris, known to many as "Nena", was born on August 12,1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the union of Dora Mae (née Johnson) and Marshall Harris. She was the third child of six.

Nena attended Riverside High School in Milwaukee and then Custer High School. Up until recently, Nena attended Penn Foster where she was excited to obtain a business administration degree to open her own daycare facility as she loved nurturing small children.

Nena loved reading. Erotica was her favorite genre followed closely by urban fiction. She would take a book, be it hardcopy or electronic, everywhere she went. It was her escape. Nena did also enjoy wearing makeup and wigs of varying lengths and sometimes colors. She loved family and friends gatherings and she really enjoyed looking after everyone's young children.

Marcia gained her wings on July 9th, 2024 at Advanced Specialty Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Marcia is preceded in death by her sister, Katrina Harris, brothers Daryl and Demond Harris, sister-in-law Anucietta Griffin and her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory her four children: Keirus Harris, Keon Jenkins, Sadora and Brandisha Harris, a nephew - Makari Harris; two sisters- Tiffany Harris and Melinda Smith; a brother - Marshall Harris Jr. and a host of other family, extended family and friends - The Griffins, Johnsons,  Hines and Thornhill families.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held August 11th in Milwaukee, WI with times and location to be revealed at a later date.
