IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Ann
(Bowers) Wuwert
April 20, 1939 – July 22, 2024
Margaret Ann (Bowers) Wuwert was born April 20, 1939 to Richard Bowers and Frances Pauline (Rickard) Bowers. She passed peacefully surrounded by family on July 22, 2024.
Wife of the late Ron Wuwert. mother of son Reinhold "Butch" Wuwert, daughter Sarah Roth (Don), son Tim (Janeen), and son-in-law Mike Watson (Mary Ann). Sister of Rick Bowers. Predeceased by her husband Ron, daughter Gretchen Watson, her parents, and 4 siblings. Grandmother to Andy Wuwert (Christine), Lindsay Ganues (Jeff), Heather Piggott (Scott), Holly Duquet (Dave), Ashley Walters (Dave), Ryan Roth, Andrea Couture, Anna Watson, and Jacob Watson. She was also Great grandmother to 19.
Margaret lived in Toledo her entire life. She was in the first graduating class of Rogers High School. She went on to get married at the age of 17 and have 4 children. Margaret spent much of her adult life on social work and even went back to school as an adult and received her Masters Degree. She was particularly passionate about children's rights. She went on to become a part of the Children's Rights Council (CRC) and in 2000 she opened the Toledo locations known as the Gift Exchange. She continued this work into her retirement years and was involved in training and opening other locations across the country. The work she did led her to write her very own book on these experiences and was a major personal goal for herself. The work she started at CRC has continued on and has allowed many parents to continue seeing their children.
Margaret was a family-oriented person. She spent much of her spare time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some traditions that they shared were baking Christmas cookies together and attending annual Christmas parties at the Lodge and later the American Legion. She also attended many school events, dance recitals, birthday parties, baptisms, first communions and confirmations, weddings, and graduations. She also had a love for Hummel collectibles.
Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Sunday July 28, 2024, from 3:00-7:00 PM and on Monday at Hope Lutheran Church corner of Secor Rd. and Indian Rd. after 10 AM followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM with interment at Toledo Memorial Park.
