Marilyn Maier, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on April 30, 1944, to Stanley and Florence "Flossi" Kwiatkowski, Marilyn lived a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion to her family.
She was a devoted mother to her sons, Steve and Jeffrey Iwanicki, and a proud grandmother to Kyle, Shaley, Trevor, Maddie and Jason. Her family was her world, and she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, whether it was celebrating their accomplishments or simply spending time together.
Throughout her life, Marilyn faced challenges with grace and courage, most notably overcoming a triumphant battle against breast cancer. Her strength inspired everyone around her.
Marilyn will be remembered for her warm heart, her kindness, and her unyielding dedication to those she loved. Her gentle spirit touched all who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and strength.
In passing, Marilyn is reunited with her late husband, Jon, and her eldest son Steve, finding peace in their company once again.
Marilyn will be deeply missed and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved, and she will be forever cherished and remembered.
Her family will celebrate her life at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Friday after 4 PM followed by a memorial service at 6 PM.
