Marion (Kersten) Stiehr Barnes died Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio- Toledo at the age of 92.

Marion J Kersten was born January 13, 1925 in Capac, Michigan, the daughter of Alvin and Jennie (Lee) Kersten. She earned an Associates in Arts Degree from Port Huron Junior College in 1947. Marion married Robert (Bob) Stiehr in 1947. Marion and Bob had 3 children together, Charles (Chuck), Jill (Cruickshank) and Tracy. After Bob's death, she married Dale Barnes in 1985. Marion was proud to become the step mother to Tom and Barbara Barnes. Marion and Dale enjoyed traveling and golfing together for many years. After Dale's death, Marion

continued to travel and be a member of the community at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Throughout her life, Marion shared her many talents with her friends and family including beautiful sewing, wonderful cooking and knitting. She continued to stay current, using new technology to stay connected to loved ones who lived far away.

Marion is survived by her children, in-law's; Mary Lee Stiehr, Les Jacobson and Mike Cruickshank, 7 grandchildren; Patrick Cruickshank, Kelley Cruickshank, Jessie Stiehr, Auguste Stiehr, Magayr Knox, Reid Jacobson and Shea Jacobson, 10 great grandchildren and sister, Dorothy Bromley.

A private, family service will be held at a later date. The family prefers memorial tributes to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
