Melvin Henry Gaston passed away unexpectedly Saturday March 14th  in his home at the age of 64. He was born December 16, 1955 in Toledo to Freddie & Victoria (Belcher) Gaston and attended Scott High School.

Melvin was a self-employed auto mechanic for years and his favorite car was a Cadillac. He enjoyed music and he would love to dance. Melvin's faith was important to him and attending church was a big part of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lolisa Gaston, brothers Frank Gaston and Thomas Gaston; and sister Florence Gaston. Melvin is survived by his children Aisha Smith, Latoya Jones, Melvin J. Wright, Alberta Wright and Paige Middlebrooks; 8 grandkids and 2 great grandkids; special friend Marquita Maccoy-Beasley as well as a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
