Michael Henry Mauss passed away Sunday April 28, 2019 in St. Anne's Hospital at the age of 57. He was born May 29, 1961 in Toledo to Carlton and Betty (Gillespie) Mauss and graduated from Whitmer High School in 1979 where he played football. Mike was a self-employed contractor specializing in gutter installation and repair.

In his youth, he spent his summers at Sand Lake in Brooklyn, MI where he developed his love of the outdoors. Mike was an avid hunter, fisherman and a member of the Great Northern Sportsman Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sons Carlin Mauss and Kalvin Mauss; fiancé Janice Koralewski; sisters Vonnie Brown and Valerie (Tom) Zalesak; brother Gary (June) Mauss and good friend Mark Welch as well as nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday after 2 PM followed by funeral services at 7 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to the Cherry St Mission.
