IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michelle (Barrow)
Popoff
September 2, 1953 – October 9, 2024
Michelle "Mich" Eveleen Popoff, 71, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday October 9, 2024 at UTMC surrounded by her loving family after a long fight with a rare lung condition. She was a 1971 graduate of Bowser High School where she played softball.
Mich was a woman of many hats; from being a disc jockey in her younger years, opening Popoff's Pizza and Fine Lebanese Food, being a team leader for the City of Toledo community gardens, and working for TPS transportation as a bus driver and trainer for over 20 years.
Michelle was the definition of tough. Her childhood nickname "Truck" is attributed to her skills and toughness playing football with her brothers and neighbors. She was married to the love of her life Randy Popoff. Michelle enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors and loved being by the water, whether it was spending time in the pool, going boating, or soaking up rays on the beach. Michelle was the life of the party and always made sure people were having a good time. She was witty and always said what was on her mind. Family was absolutely everything to Michelle and she had unconditional love for everyone. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister cousin, aunt, friend, and known as "Momma Pop" to many. If you told her you loved her, know that she loves you more. She is survived by her children: Randy, Eveleen, and Nicholas (Brittany) Popoff; Grandchildren: Olivia, Kareem, Isaiah, Kamdyn, Jaxton, Khalil, Kaleena, and Damon; Siblings: Denise (David) Matheny, Gabrielle (Jackie) Barrow, Gregory (Sharon) Barrow, Lisa Barrow, and Billy (Danielle) Barrow; many cousins and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Randy Popoff; parents: Violet and William Barrow; and brother David Barrow.
Family will receive friends at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church 4940 Harroun Rd. Sylvania Wednesday from 5-7 PM with Trisagion Prayers at 6:30 PM and funeral services to be held Thursday at 10 AM.
