Nanci J Burghardt passed on April 23, 2026, at hospice of NW Ohio surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on July 12, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio. Nanci was the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Hartenhof ) Kansorka.

Nanci married the love of her life Russell J Burghardt on May 22, 1954. They celebrated 67 years of marriage. Together they had 6 children with one passing at birth. Nanci was a full-time mom majority of her life. She then took a keypunch course with her daughter and started in the workforce; working at NFO, Sun Oil and SE Johnson. Nanci also was a member of New Life Community Church and Toledo Elks Lodge #53.

Some of her favorite pastimes were making holiday decor, bowling, reading and playing pull tabs. Her favorite pastime was baking cookies and was lovingly known as Great Grandma “Cookie”. Nanci also enjoyed playing silly pranks on loved ones on their milestone birthdays and would light up a room with her smile and silly faces. Making people laugh and smile came easy to her. Many others loved Nanci so much that they referred to her as their mom, grandma, sister or aunt which we are so proud of. Nanci is survived by her daughter Cindy Spohn, sons Keith (Joni) Burghardt, Kelly (Cindy) Burghardt, Mickey (Laurie) Burghardt, Matthew (Hillarie) Burghardt, 16 Grandchildren, 25 great grands, 1 great great. Nanci is preceded in death by her husband Russell, infant son Timothy, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and many in-laws.

Her family will receive friends June 13, 2026, at the Toledo/Sylvania Elks Lodge #53 3520 North Holland Sylvania Rd. after 1 PM followed a Celebration of Life Service at 2 PM with a dinner to follow.
