Ortencia Salazar passed away snuggly in her bed Thursday Morning December 2, 2021 at the age of 72.  Ortencia was born January 9th 1949 to Angelita and Tomas Castro in Hildago County, Texas.

Ortencia was preceeded in death by daughter Navidad Salazar; mother Angelita Castro; father Thomas Castro; sisters Isabela Losoya and Concha Castro; brother Tom Castro; granddaughter Briana Ramos; niece Tina Losoya; nephew Robbie Ramirez and in-laws Naomi & Joseph Salazar.

Ortencia is survived by husband Joseph C. Salazar; children Cynthia (Miguel) Rodriguez, III, Josphine (Brian) Rieger and Jose (Delia) Salazar; sister Mary Sanchez; brothers Daniel and Joe Castro; Grandkids Kayla (Gustavo) Medina, Natalie Salazar, Corina Rodriguez, Serena Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez, IV, Brian Rieger, Emilio Sharp; great grandkids Emillio Sharp, Xavier Ramos, Anaya Sharp, Kayden Medina, Gresie Ramos, Elianna and Elicianna Smith, Isabella Medina and Ace Burkey.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Sunday after 2 PM followed by a Funeral Prayer Service at 5 PM.
